In August 2024, IBM proudly hosted an Insight Day in collaboration with the Doceo EmpowerED Programme, welcoming over 20 students to our offices. This engaging event showcased a diverse range of career opportunities at IBM, from Designers to Scrum Masters and AI specialists.
The day featured an interactive panel session, allowing students to ask in-depth questions about the career journeys of our panel members. This was followed by an introduction to IBM’s Design Thinking framework, enabling students to explore innovative problem-solving approaches. The event culminated in a hands-on workshop where students leveraged IBM technology to address real challenges they face as students.
The event was an outstanding success, with students demonstrating the highest level of engagement we’ve seen in such initiatives. This was a testament to Doceo’s thoughtful selection process and the strength of their EmpowerED Programme.
Programmes like this align seamlessly with IBM’s SkillsBuild initiative, where we aim to empower individuals with the job skills, courses, and credentials they need for a future in tech. By fostering innovation and skill development, events like Insight Day help prepare the next generation for meaningful careers in technology.
