Doceo Hosts First Annual Impact Summit Celebrating Youth Impact and Future Workforce Skills

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

London, UK — 30 January 2026
Doceo, a social enterprise dedicated to equipping underrepresented young people aged 14–18 with employability skills, confidence, and career access, hosted its Annual Impact Summit on Friday, 30 January 2026, at Samsung KX, King’s Cross, with the rest of the Doceo team joining online.

The 2-hour summit brought together students, programme alumni, corporate partners, volunteer mentors, educators, and supporters to reflect on Doceo’s most impactful year to date and share an ambitious roadmap for 2026.

Celebrating 2025: Doceo’s Most Impactful Year Yet

During the summit, Doceo showcased its 2025 impact through data-led insights and student voices:

  • 2,430 students reached in 2025 alone, a 145% increase from 2024
  • 5,851 students supported since 2020
  • 98% outcome achievement rate across flagship programmes
  • 100% of participants reported increased financial and professional confidence

Students supported by Doceo are predominantly from state schools, with the majority identifying as from minority ethnic backgrounds, reinforcing Doceo’s mission to widen access to opportunity.

The evening featured student-led testimonials and introduced our first Student Ambassador, Efe Donkor. In this role, she will share opportunities in her school and online, represent student voice through testimonials and speaking at events, connect Doceo with school staff, and work with our team to shape future initiatives.

There were also stakeholder reflections, including insights from current students, alumni, volunteer mentors, educators, and corporate partners, highlighting the value of early intervention and real-world exposure.

Stakeholders at the Heart of Impact

The summit audience reflected Doceo’s growing ecosystem, including:

  • Secondary school students and programme alumni
  • Corporate partners from finance, law, technology, and professional services
  • Volunteer mentors and industry professionals
  • Teachers and school leaders
  • Funders and community supporters

Together, they explored how collaboration between education, industry, and community can reduce skills gaps and improve long-term career outcomes for young people.

Looking Ahead: The 2026 Strategy

Doceo formally launched its 2026 strategy at the summit, centred on four key goals:

  • Scale: Reach over 4,000 students sustainably in 2026, with a long-term vision of supporting 10,000 students by 2030
  • Innovate: Launch two employability pathways later this year; Catalyst(Biomedical Sciences) and Off the Pitch (Careers in Sport).
    • Doceo, and Black Women in Science (BWiS), supported by the MRC Black in Biomedical Research Advisory Group, will host a one-day immersive programme, Catalyst, later this year to inspire 16–18-year-olds from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue biomedical careers. The event features workshops, panels, networking, and follow-up mentorship. Stay tuned.
    • Off-the-Pitch (Careers in Sport) is also coming soon.
  • Strengthen Community & Partnerships: Expand corporate, volunteer, and school partnerships to deepen access to mentoring and industry insight
  • Fund: Secure diversified funding to support programme growth and community initiatives

Attendees also took part in interactive elements, including a live Q&A with Doceo’s core team and structured networking designed to spark meaningful connections across sectors.

A Shared Commitment to the Future Workforce

The summit concluded with a strong sense of shared purpose, reinforcing Doceo’s belief that strategic early intervention can change life trajectories.

As Doceo moves into 2026, the organisation remains focused on turning aspiration into applied skills, confidence, and opportunity — ensuring young people are not just prepared for the future workforce, but empowered to shape it.
