About This Role
We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of Doceo’s Volunteer Strategy. This is a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen our volunteer network, ensuring volunteers are effectively recruited, engaged, and supported. You will play a key role in fostering a community of motivated and impactful volunteers, while working closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance Doceo’s volunteer programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Commit 6 hours per week to oversee impact data collection and research on volunteer contributions, ensuring alignment with Doceo’s strategy.
- Collaborate with the CEO and COO to promote and integrate volunteer opportunities across Doceo’s programmes and services.
- Work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to develop and enhance Corporate Volunteering initiatives as part of Doceo’s Volunteer Strategy.
- Support the creation and implementation of an annual business plan to strengthen centralised support for volunteers and improve engagement.
- Lead volunteer engagement efforts, including recruitment, training, recognition, reward, and retention, to build a thriving volunteer network.
- Contribute to the Doceo Alumni programme, supporting former participants in developing skills and confidence to transition into volunteer and staff roles.
Job Requirements
- Commitment: Available for a minimum of 6 hours per week
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organisation: Excellent time management and ability to oversee multiple projects
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Volunteer Management: Experience in volunteer coordination, programme management, or community engagement (desirable but not essential)
- Passion: A commitment to empowering young people and fostering social mobility
- Proactiveness: Ability to take initiative and develop new ideas to enhance volunteer engagement
