What programmes does Doceo offer for students?

Doceo offers three core programmes aimed at developing employability skills for young people:

  • EmpowerED Programme: This in-person programme for 16-18 year old students is run alongside corporate partners, providing students with hands-on experiences and professional networking opportunities in Tech or Law. How can I get involved in Doceo’s programmes?

You can apply directly on our website on the relevant pages once applications open! Each programme runs once a year, and we typically open applications 2-3 months before the programme starts. Be sure to keep an eye out for announcements and updates so you don’t miss the application window.

Are Doceo's programmes and events free?

Yes, all our programmes and events are completely free. At Doceo, we believe that every young person, regardless of their background, should have the skills, confidence, and opportunities to pursue their career ambitions. To make this a reality, we use the generous funding from our corporate partners and grant sponsors to subsidise the cost of our programmes for the students who apply. Additionally, for our physical programmes, we typically reimburse travel expenses up to £150.

How can Doceo help students find career opportunities?

In addition to the career opportunities provided through our programmes, Doceo offers an Opportunity Board on our website, where students can find a variety of work experience, internships, and career development opportunities. These opportunities are updated weekly, so be sure to check back regularly! By subscribing to our Monthly Newsletter, you’ll receive a curated list of the top opportunities for the month, including some exclusive ones reserved for our student and parent newsletter communities.

Can Doceo provide mentorship for students?

Yes, Doceo offers 1-1 mentoring as part of its Aspiring Leaders Programme, where students receive personalised support and career guidance from professionals within their fields. This mentorship helps students build valuable connections, gain insight into their chosen industries, and develop the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

Additionally, we provide one-off mentorship opportunities in collaboration with our corporate partners. These special opportunities are shared with our student community via our Student Community Group and are also included in our Monthly Student Newsletter.
